FAA CFI – Certified Flight Instructor & CFII – Instrument Rating Instructor

The Certified Flight Instructor license allows individuals to provide training to pilots while the Certified Flight Instrument Instructor rating allows holders to provide IR(A) training to pilots.

Many pilots wishing to enter professional aviation positions become Flight Instructors in order to giai necessary experience.

Course entry requirements

  • An applicant for an instructor certificate shall be at least 18 years of age
  • Second class medical certificate
  • CPL(A) holder

Privileges

The privileges of the holder of a CFI(A) rating are to conduct flight instruction for the issue of the PPL(A) and class and type ratings for single-engine airplanes

Duration
